Arsenal and Man City eye Jovetic

A report from TalkSPORT is suggesting that Arsenal are keen to sign Fiorentina’s £28million-rated striker Stevan Jovetic in the summer.

The Montenegro international played against England on Tuesday evening and looked sharp, especially in the second half and a move to the English Premier League could now be on the cards.

The Gunners are keen to add a natural goal-scorer to their squad in the summer transfer window as they haven’t found a replacement for Robin van Persie since the Dutchman left for Manchester United.

However, Arsene Wenger clearly feels as though Jovetic is a real talent that can shine in his current squad.

There is money there for Arsenal to spend as they have sold plenty of players in recent years and are yet to splash that cash.

£28 million might seem a bit steep, but Jovetic has scored 12 goals in 24 Serie A appearances this season and is only going to improve in the next few years.

Manchester City are reportedly keeping tabs on the front-man though, which could be a worry for the London club as they might not be able to match the financial power of the Citizens.

Jovetic could have a big decision to make in the summer.
