Arsenal and Manchester City set for Isco battle

Arsenal and Manchester City are set for a summer battle to secure the services of Real Madrid star Isco, according to the Express.

The Spain international was the subject of speculation during the recently closed transfer window though has remained part of Rafael Benitez’s side, and has featured in both of their league games so far this season.

His current contract at the Bernabeu runs until 2018, though he is once again set to be involved in a transfer tussle, with two of the Premier League’s giants set to lock horns.

Isco moved to Real from Malaga in the summer of 2013 and has since racked up over a hundred appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring seventeen goals while he was part of the squad that won both the Copa Del Rey and Champions League in 2014.

He has eleven senior caps for Spain, the last of which was won in Tuesday’s Euro 2016 win over FYR Macedonia.
