Arsenal and Manchester City want Ryan Bertrand

Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand in the summer transfer window, according to Goal.com. Serie A club AC Milan and Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco are also reported to be kenn on securing the services of the 31-year-old England international defender.

Bertrand is out of contract at Southampton at the end of June. Talks between the left-back and the Saints have not gone well, and there is a chance that the 31-year-old will leave the club as a free agent. Manchester City are reported to have already made contact over a potential transfer of the former Chelsea man.

Bertrand has been on the books of Southampton since 2015 and is one of the better left-backs in the Premier League. The England international is at the top of his game, and he would be a very good signing for Arsenal or City, especially on a free transfer.
