According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Arsenal and Newcastle United are leading the charge to sign Paulo Dybala.
The belief is that they are both currently ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the race to bring the Juventus forward over to English football, with United likely having the slight edge – despite the fact they’ve already been ruled out of returning to the Champions League next season.
The most interesting thing about this particular move is that Dybala has been linked with a move away from Juve for as long as we can remember.
The 28-year-old has been there since 2015 and while he may go out on a high by winning the Coppa Italia, it probably isn’t going to be enough to convince him to stay.
The Magpies may well be ahead in the running given their financial benefits but if Arsenal can secure Champions League football, anything is possible.
