Arsenal and Roma have been linked with a bid to sign out-of-favour Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, according to the Telegraph.
The Czech Republic international, who moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2004, is likely to seek a new challenge next season after losing his place in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up to Thibaut Courtois.
The 34 year old has made fourteen appearances in all competitions so far this season, including the League Cup final at Wembley earlier this month where he kept a clean sheet against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, but he is very much second fiddle to Courtois, who has developed into on the most hotly tipped shot stoppers over the past few years.
Arsenal have previously been linked with a move for the former Rennes man and are set to throw their hat into the ring again, though they are likely to face competition from Serie A side Roma.
