Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Emerson Royal from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the Spanish media. It has been reported by Mundo Deportivo that Arsenal could sell Hector Bellerin at the end of the season, and as a replacement for the Spaniard right-back, they are looking to bring in the 22-year-old Brazil international.
La Razon has claimed interest in Emerson Royal from Arsenal’s bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Villarreal, Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are also claimed to be key on the 22-year-old.
Emerson Royal’s situation is a bit complicated. The right-back is co-owned by Barcelona and Real Betis and is on loan at the Andalusian club from the Catalan giants. The youngster has been at Betis since the start of last season.
An agreement is in place for Emerson Royal to move to Barcelona at the end of the 2020-21 campaign for €6 million, and the Spanish giants then plan to sell him, although they will have to give Betis half of what they earn.
