Arsenal are tired and treated badly by opponents and referees. Get real Arsene!

Following Arsene Wenger’s attack on the Stoke players and his dubious explanation for their defeat he has now spoken out twice more.

Apparently referees treat Arsenal badly. They are ‘unfair’ according to Wenger and book his players for less than they book opposition players.

Also, he says that his players are ‘exhausted’. That is the reason they didn’t beat Fenerbahce last night.

OK, let’s get it straight. Stoke beat Arsenal fair and square. Referees are not biaised against Arsenal, it is simply the blinkered way that Wenger sees his team play. In last night’s game, Djourou was exceptionally lucky to be shown only a yellow card for a wild, nasty, studs up challenge. I didn’t hear Wenger complaining or calling his player a coward.

Lastly, he says the Arsenal players are exhausted. It is November 6th. That’s three months into a nine month season for goodness sake. Come on Arsene, get real.

Does anyone else think that Wenger is getting a little desperate?

Arsenal’s sqaud is too small, both collectively and physically. Nasri, Walcott, even Fabregas get shoved off the ball, and Song, Denilson, and Diaby are not true DMs like Vieira was. Last year there were quite a few terrible decisions against Arsenal, like that bullshit last minute penalty against Birminham. Arsenal does seem to get screwed when it counts more often that Man Utd, whereas they are gifted penalties like the one against Bolton earlier this season. Wenger is just frustrated and is not controlling his mouth, but it is his own fault for not strengthening the squad in the areas where it was weakened. He knew Rosicky would be out for a while but didn’t buy a replacement, he sold Gilberto and he let Flamini go for nothing. Flamini was so vital last season and to not replace him seems foolish to me. I am confident that a strong DM would solve the majority of Arsenal’s problems.

Even liverpool got a goal against stoke by gerrard wrongly cancelled by the referee. I did not hear Benitez whine all and on about that. He may have lost it. Staying in a place too long dims the memory you know…

You all get real, arsenal will win nothing playing that way and lacking experienced players. Wenger should stop the whining cause his players will get kicked all the time like other teams players. This is the game. I want to know what wenger will do when his team encounters the hard marking italina teams? Give up and go home? He should stop the excuses and get on with the game. He chose his style, players and so should stick by it. Some teams have serious injuries like liverpool, newcastle, chelsea etc and still carry on picking up results. I remember chelsea beating hull away by 3-0. Get real prof.

i do agree on what wenger says when teams who can beat arsenal in a decent game of “football” ,they seem to change the whole idea of playing, they start to call it being competitive by kicking using rough tactics, well thats cheating, bullying ,so to agree with the manager whos team plays the best football in the premier league would be logical ,dont u think so as well?????

I love the way Arsenal play football and I have a great deal of respect for Arsene Wenger. I just feel that his comments over the past few days have been ill advised.

I am in no way defending the Shawcross or Delap tackles but Wenger seems to think it is only other teams that foul Arsenal and his players are angels.

It is Wenger who has said that Stoke players are cowards, referees are unfair to Arsenal and that his players are exhausted, not the media.

Oh please!, every year the media generate a story, have little phases where they all get on the band wagon. Prior to the game the Stoke players where going to make it “very phyiscal”, what about Showcross tackle when the player was off the field of play.

All I can say is we love Wenger, we love the team. Come on you Gunners
