Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are among clubs showing interest in Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente.
Following an impressive loan spell at Deportivo Alaves, the 22-year-old returned to Santiago Bernabeu hoping to act as an understudy to Casemiro, but things didn’t quite turn out according to the plan.
Namely, Mateo Kovacic appears to have climbed above him in the pecking order, as witnessed by the fact that Llorente didn’t even make the squad for the first three games of the new season.
As a result, the talented midfielder is looking for a way out, and he has no shortage of high-profile suitors.
Namely, the likes of Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are all casting admiring glances his way, but there have been no official proposals sent as of yet.
Real Madrid would prefer for Llorente to leave on loan, while they will definitely include a buy-back option if they eventually decide to sell.
