Arsenal back in for Gourcuff

Arsenal are keen on signing France international Yoann Gourcuff on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to the Metro.

The 28 year old moved to Lyon from Bordeaux in the summer of 2011, and has since racked up one hundred and seventeen appearances in all competitions, scoring twenty-five goals.

He has been capped thirty-one times for his country, scoring four times, and played at the 2010 World Cup but missed out on last summer’s finals in Brazil.

Gourcuff has spent his entire career so far in France, aside from a spell in Serie A with Milan, where he won the Champions League in 2007.

The Gunners were linked with a move for the midfielder before he moved to Italy, and are now ready to renew their interest.

Arsene Wenger’s are in pole position to finish second in the Premier League, while they will also play in their second successive FA Cup final this month.
