Arsenal are ready to reignite their interest in Luis Suarez, according to the Metro.
The Uruguay international, who was the subject of an infamous £40m plus £1 bid from the Gunners during his time at Liverpool, moved to Barcelona for around £75m after participating in last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
However, he has struggled to recreate the form he showed during his time at Anfield for the Catalan club, with the 28 year old scoring just five goals in sixteen appearances in all competitions.
Prior to his switch to Spain, Suarez netted eighty-two goals in three-and-a-half years on Merseyside, while he was also a prolific scorer at Ajax, where he played for the same amount of time.
Manager Arsene Wenger will relish the thought of linking the forward up with former Barca man Alexis Sanchez, especially if he can agree a cut-price deal with the La Liga giants.
