Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner assures he will not let his team down while Emmanuel Adebayor is out because of his hamstring injury.
“I’m very sorry to see Adebayor injured as we need him fit and to be playing in the league,” Bendtner is quoted as saying in The Daily Mirror. “But it does not really matter to me who is fit and available. I should start every game, I should be playing every minute of every match and always be in the team.”
Manager Arsene Wenger seems to be less convinced that Bendtner should be the first name on his team sheet, however. “He has had plenty of opportunities this year; if you look at the number of games he has started you will be surprised,” the Frenchman said.
