Arsenal are readying January bid for Bastia hotshot Florian Thauvin, according to L’Equipe.
Having finally persuaded Theo Walcott into signing a new deal at the Emirates, the Gunners can fully concentrate on their winter targets.
L’Equipe understands that Arsenal are ready to launch an assault on Bastia midfelder Florian Thauvin.
Newcastle and Lille have already shown experienced in the talented footballer, but while the Magpies are only prepared to offer around €2.5 million, Arsenal will offer double the amount.
The only condition is that the attacking midfielder arrives at the Emirates during the January transfer window.
Thauvin, 19, who has a year and a half left on his deal at the club, is currently negotiating a contract extension, but Arsenal hope to sign him before he pens a new deal at Bastia.
The highly rated midfielder has been in fine form this season, scoring 3 goals in 19 Ligue 1 appearances.
