Arsenal cannot afford Martin Zubimendi in January?

Arsenal are interested in signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that the defensive midfielder is too expensive for Arsenal in the middle of the season, and that the North London club would not be able to afford him.

Zubimendi has been on the books of Sociedad his entire professional club football career so far and is one of the best defensive midfielders in La Liga. The Spain international star has made 11 starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process.

Arsenal are on the hunt for a new defensive midfielder in the January transfer window due to injury issues over Thomas Partey. The Gunners are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 27 points from 12 matches, a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.
