Premier League giants Arsenal have made a fresh assault on Spartak Moscow midfielder Romulo, according to Lance!.
The Gunners have attempted to lure the Brazilian to the Emirates on several occasions and they are again making a move on the 24-year-old.
According to Lance!, Arsenal have all but agreed personal terms with the player’s representatives, but it remains to be seen whether they can reach an agreement with Spartak.
Romulo moved to Russia as one of Brazil’s hottest prospects, but a string of difficult injuries seriously halted his progress.
As a result, he could only make 22 league appearances in two and a half years, but Arsene Wenger clearly believes the midfielder still has a lot to offer.
The Gunners host Newcastle later today hoping to make amends for the 3-2 loss to Stoke City, and they can be backed at 9/20 to claim maximum points and revive their top 4 bid.
