Arsenal are confident that there won’t be any issues with Real Madrid should they need to extend the loan deal for Dani Ceballos, according to the Evening Standard.
Football has been suspended across Europe for the moment due to the Coronavirus outbreak and there is no telling when and in what shape the leagues will be continued. The Premier League clubs are scheduled to meet early next month to discuss what is now considered the best-case scenario – the remaining games to start in the middle of May, which would likely mean the 2019/20 season would be finished by the end of June. However, there is a tangible possibility that the campaign will have to continue well into the summer, and that would raise serious issues with players whose contracts are due to expire.
But Arsenal apparently aren’t worried about Ceballos. Even though they haven’t held any official talks with Real, they are confident that the Spanish giants won’t have any objections for the midfielder, whose influence in Mikel Arteta’s team grew immensely prior to the suspension, to remain at the Emirates until the season is concluded.
