Arsenal are ready to pay £27m to secure the services of AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli, according to the Metro.
The Italian international, who scored the winner in his sides 2-1 victory over England in Manaus at the weekend, has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks, and now manager Arsene Wenger has been given the green light to make a move.
Chelsea have also been mentioned as the next possible destination for the former Manchester City man, though the Gunners are in pole position to complete a deal.
In one-and-a-half seasons with the Rossoneri, the 23 year old has scored thirty goals in fifty-four appearances in all competitions while his recnt strike in Brazil was his thirteenth for his country.
Italy can all but seal qualification from the group stages with victory over Costa Rica on Friday, and Balotelli can be backed at 15/4 to open the scoring.
