Arsenal are interested in signing Matheus Cunha from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that the Gunners are pushing to get a deal done in the middle of the season and are exploring a deal for 25-year-old.
Cunha is a versatile attacking player who can operate as a forward, second striker or winger. The Brazil international has scored 24 goals and given 11 assists in 68 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The attacker has found the back of the net 10 times and has given four assists in 18 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Wolves so far this season.
Arsenal, who have been linked with Alexander Isak, are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 39 points from 19 matches, six points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played 18 games. Meanwhile, Wolves currently find themselves 17th in the standings with 16 points from 19 games, a point above the relegation zone.
