According to a recent report from Sport, Arsenal could be given the chance to sign Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal during the summer transfer window.
The young Norwegian is currently on loan at the Emirates with many fans and pundits alike waiting to see what sort of magic he can bring to the Premier League. If he winds up finding success in North London, Arsenal could be permitted to sign him permanently – with Real Madrid being open to a sale if the opportunity presented itself.
Whether or not the Gunners would have the funds necessary to make such a deal happen is another matter altogether, but the fact that it’s already being discussed seems to indicate where Real’s head is at. They acted rashly in signing him a few years ago and now, they’d rather move him on to someone else instead of doing everything they can to build him up themselves.
