The Daily Mirror has revealed that Arsenal could be ready to make a £7 million move for Adel Taarabt in the January transfer window, if they are unable to bring Wilfred Zaha to the club.
Arsene Wenger is looking to add some attackers to his squad in the New Year and it is thought that Crystal Palace forward Zaha is his number one target.
However, Zaha seems happy to stay at Palace and help them fight for promotion into the English Premier League this campaign.
The South Londoners are also apparently holding out for £15 million for their star man, and the Gunners may not be prepared to spend that on someone who is unproven in the Premier League.
So, the Moroccan could be the man that Wenger looks to bring to the Emirates Stadium in January and this would certainly surprise a few.
No one doubts that Taarabt has bags of talent, but it his attitude and mentality that are often questioned – so the French boss will have a job on his hands to get the best out of him.
With Arsenal looking as though they may spend a lot of money in the transfer window, the Queens Park Rangers man could be one of a few faces coming to the club in January.
