Arsenal full-back Andre Santos has admitted that he could see himself returning to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The Brazilian spent two years at Sukru Saracoglu after making a €5 million switch from Corinthians, before he was sold to Arsenal in the summer of 2011.
Santos had a bright start to his career at the Emirates, but has lost his place in the side after Kieran Gibbs recovered from injury.
As a result, the player has made just two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season and he now reveals he is thinking about returning to Fenerbahce.
“I would like to state clearly that I have a lot of respect for Fenerbache, and I love Istanbul…but for now I am a gunner,” Santos wrote in his Twitter account.
“For now, I have not received an offer from a Turkish team. However, if I receive an offer one day, thinking what is best for my family, I will make a decision.”
Santos has scored 10 goals in 52 Super Lig appearances for Fener during the two years spent at Sukru Saracoglu and he is still held in high regard by the club chiefs.
Arsene Wenger would probably be prepared to cash in on the 29-year-old defender, and get back some of the money invested in him.
