Arsenal are trying to sign Elye Wahi from Montpellier in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that Arsenal have made enquiries about signing the 20-year-old striker, with manager Mikel Arteta looking to bring him to the Emirates Stadium in the wake of the injury suffered by Brazil international Gabriel Jesus.
However, Arsenal are not the only club who are keen on Wahi. Teamtalk has reported that West Ham United and Fulham have also made enquiries to sign Wahi, while Chelsea have been trying hard to get a deal done for a while.
Wahi made 29 starts and four substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Montpellier last season. The striker scored 19 goals and gave five assists in those games. Montpellier want £34.5 million in transfer fees for the France Under-21 international striker. Arsenal will aim to win the Premier League title this season and will also play in the UEFA Champions League.
