Arsenal have contacted Valencia to ask about the availability of Rodrigo Moreno, according to the Mirror.
With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract about to enter its final 12 months, the Gunners apparently fear that the Gabonese would want to leave the Emirates this summer. He has already been linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan. The future of Alexandre Lacazette is also believed to be uncertain, with Atletico Madrid interested in taking him to the Spanish capital. It could mean Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be forced to reconstruct his forward line this summer, and the report claims he has already instructed the recruitment team to start working in that direction. The 29-year-old Valencia striker has been identified as a target.
Like Aubameyang, Rodrigo was also heavily linked with Barcelona in January. The Catalans were looking urgently for an attacking player after both Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele suffered long-term injuries. They were reportedly in talks with Valencia, but they eventually gave up and ended up signing Martin Braithwaite from Leganes.
