Recent reports state that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has targeted French Ligue 1 trio Jean II Makoun of Lille, St Etienne’s Mouhamadou Dabo and Marseille playmaker Samir Nasri.
Lille midfielder, Jean II Makoun, is considered by Wenger to be a replacement for Mathieu Flamini. According to the player’s agent, Jean-Christophe Thouvenel, the 24-year-old Cameroon international will leave the club this summer.
The 21-year-old Mouhamdou Dabo, who can play both as a midfielder and full-back, has received glowing reports from Arsenal’s scout in France, former Arsenal player Gilles Grimandi, according to The Sunday Mirror.
French whizkid Samir Nasri has been linked with the club for some time now, and Wenger is a long-term admirer of Nasri. With rumours that Alex Hleb is on the verge of quitting the club, Nasri will be a welcomed signing.
