Arsenal are considering re-signing defender Bacary Sagna, according to the Daily Star.
A number of Premier League clubs are looking to agree a deal for the France international with Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester City all monitoring the situation.
Now Arsenal, who had the player on their books for seven years before his move to Manchester City, have joined the race to secure his services.
The thirty-four year old has been out of contract since the Citizens decided not to offer him a new deal at the end of last season.
He racked up eighty-five appearances for the Manchester club in all competitions while he played almost two hundred times more than that during his time in Arsene Wenger’s side.
Internationally he was part of the squads that attended the last two World Cup finals while he played in every game as Les Bleus finished as runners-up in the European Championships last summer.
