Arsenal eyeing another Saints starlet

Daily Mail is reporting that Arsenal are hot on the trail of Southampton full-back Calum Chambers.

It appears that the Gunners are no closer to reaching an agreement with soon-to-be free agent Bacary Sagna and they are exploring other possibilities.

And while they have so far been linked with quite a few high-profile defenders, Daily Mail understands that Southampton youngster Calum Chambers is also on their wish list.

Arsene Wenger reportedly sees the Saints youth prospect as a good long-term replacement for Sagna and he will attempt to lure him to the Emirates in the summer transfer window.

Despite his fragile age, the 19-year-old has amassed 21 Premier League appearances, having successfully deputized for Nathaniel Clyne this season.

Arsenal remain the favourites for a top 4 finish as they sit one point clear of rivals Everton, with the Gunners priced at 2/7 to defeat Newcastle on Monday and edge closer to their objective.
