With the future of Emmanual Adebayor uncertain, Arsene Wenger is searching the market for strikers. Or at least he has set his sights on a Colombian version of Klass-Jan Huntelaar. According to The Sun, Arsenal are leading the chase for River Plate striker Falcao.
According to the report, Falcao has scored 38 goals in 58 appearances for the Argentinian club, he can shoot with either foot and is really fast. All that makes him a valuable asset for his current club River Plate who will reluctantly part with him should the right offer com in.
The same report goes on to say that Wenger evaluation of the player is £8 million while River Plate thought his worth was closer to £12 million, before adding that sir Alex Ferguson will be ‘annoyed’ by Arsenal’s interest in the player. It remains to be seen whether Wenger would fork out the extra £4 million to land his man.
