Daily Mail is reporting that Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Ajax youngster Davy Klaassen.
The Gunners had the player watched in weekend’s 4-0 triumph over NAC Breda, with the 20-year-old impressing to score a hat-trick for the Amsterdammers.
While his natural position is attacking midfielder, Klaassen can also play centre forward, which probably makes him even more appealing to Arsene Wenger.
The youngster has only recently started showing his potential, with his progress having been hindered by several difficult injuries.
It was a couple of months back that Klaassen nailed down a regular starting berth at Amsterdam Arena and has now bagged 5 goals in his last 3 matches.
The midfielder is predicted a bright future in the game, but it remains to be seen how much longer Ajax will be able to hold on to him, although chances are the Eredivisie giants are not going to consider any offers before the end of the season.
