Arsenal eyeing Lorenzo Insigne

La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Premier League giants Arsenal are hot on the trail of Napoli hotshot Lorenzo Insigne.

The Gunners are in the market for attacking reinforcements as they could see both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil leave at the end of the season.

And it appears that Lorenzo Insigne has emerged as one of their top targets as the Gunners made a check on the 25-year-old in weekend’s victory over Chievo.

The Arsenal scouts must have been impressed with the player’s performance as he scored and assisted in a 3-1 win.

Prizing Insigne away from boyhood club Napoli will be no easy task though as he is believed to be extremely loyal to the Azzurri, while the Serie A side will also be reluctant to sell.

Insigne has enjoyed a very successful campaign this term, having managed 8 goals and 6 assists in 24 Serie A matches.
