Arsenal eyeing Olsen free transfer

Arsenal are set to move for Denmark U21 midfielder Patrick Olsen following his release from Inter Milan, according to the Metro.

The Gunners were linked with the 20 year old a year ago and have been monitoring his progress closely.

The centre-midfielder saw his contract cancelled by Inter last month after failing to earn a move away, and has recently been on trial with Dutch Eredivise side Vitesse Arnhem.

He made just one senior appearance for Inter, playing twenty-one minutes of against Trapani in a Coppa Italia fixture last season.

Twelve months ago he moved on loan to Norwegian side Stromsgodset where he played five times while he began his career with Brondby in Denmark.

Arsenal turn their attention to the FA Cup with their fifth round tie at home to Championship leaders Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon, and they can be backed at a price of 5/2 to retain the trophy.
