Arsenal eyeing Vidal bid

Arsenal are lining up a £44m bid for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to the Metro.

Arsene Wenger looking to revamp his midfield, with Abou Diaby continuously struggling with injury and Mikel Arteta linked with a move to Athletic Bilbao.

Manchester United have also thrown their hat into the ring for the Chile international, though he has made it clear that he wouldn’t consider moving to a club who are not competing in next seasons Champions League.

The 27 year old has won the Serie A title in each of his three seasons with Juve, scoring twenty-eight goals in his ninety-five league appearances while he was named the clubs player of the season in 2013.

Chile face Brazil in the first match of the World Cup finals round of sixteen in Belo Horizonte tomorrow, and they can be backed at a generous price of 3/1 to qualify for the quarter-finals.
