Arsenal face Benjamin Sesko transfer blow

Arsenal are interested in signing Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The report, though, has added that the North London club could fail to make a deal happen this month.

With Gabriel Jesus now injured for the long term, Arsenal are on the hunt for a new striker in the January transfer window. Kai Havertz has been playing as the centre-forward for the Gunners for the best part of two years, but he is not a natural striker.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admires Sesko and would love to have the striker in his squad for the second half of the season, but the North London club, who have been linked with Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, are aware that they will not be able to strike a deal now. Leipzig are not willing to sell any of their best players in the middle of the campaign, and that includes Sesko, who has scored 13 goals and given three assists in 25 matches in all competitions this season.
