Arsenal are in pole position to sign Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini, according to Sky Sports.
The Belgian international has been strongly linked with a move away from Goodison Park after an impressive season with the Toffee’s, scoring eleven goals in thirty-one league appearances.
Old Trafford appeared to be the 25 year olds most likely destination, following Manchester United’s appointment of former Everton boss David Moyes as manager.
However, the Gunners are said to have activated a clause in the player’s contract, allowing him to leave for £22 million should a Champions League club come calling.
Bookmakers have slashed the odds on Fellaini moving to the Emirates, with one firm offering a price of 4/6 for the transfer to take place.
The former Standard Liege man is the latest in a long list of players to be linked with a move to Arsenal, after the club announced they are moving into a new era of “financial firepower”.
