Viola were the first high profile side to cast admiring glances towards the 20-year-old footballer, but they have yet to make concrete moves.
Meanwhile, the latest reports have suggested that Premier League giants Arsenal have joined the race as well, as they are closely monitoring the midfielder’s performances at the moment.
The Gunners are reportedly ready to offer around £5 million for the talented youngster, but Gremio will probably demand more money for their prized asset.
Walace has long ago nailed down a regular starting berth at the club, starting 34 of 38 league games last term to help his side achieve a top 3 finish.
The youngster also impressed at the Under-20 South American Championship in Uruguay last year, making five appearances for the corresponding Selecao you team.
