Spanish La Liga side Celta have announced on their official website that they have signed forward Park Chu-Young on a season-long loan from Arsenal.
The La Liga club decided to act after the team scored just one goal in two league games at the start of the season and they have now secured the signature of a recognized striker.
The South Korean is club’s sixth signing of the summer, following the captures of Javi Varas, Samuel Lorca, Gustavo Cabral, Augusto Fernandez and Michael Krohn-Dehli.
The 27-year-old only joined Arsenal last summer, but never quite managed to get a real chance at the Emirates, making just one Premier League appearance in his first season with the club.
Before joining the Gunners, Park was regarded as one of the best strikers in French top flight, having enjoyed three very successful seasons with Monaco.
The South Korea international has now been given an opportunity to kick-start his career in Spanish La Liga and he could be of great help to Celta in their survival fight.
