According to a recent report from Marca, Premier League side Arsenal are interested in the possibility of signing Luka Jovic from Benfica. The 21 year old forward has been with the Portuguese club since back in 2016, when he made the jump over from Red Star Belgrade. Jovic is also a Serbian international, having appeared for his country at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Gunners already have a series of high profile forwards in their ranks, but it can never hurt to look around and see what else is out there. Jovic has had a fantastic scoring record for Eintracht Frankfurt throughout the course of the season, with the report suggesting that Arsenal are keeping a very close eye on him.
It’s unlikely that he’d be anything more than a back up at this moment in time courtesy of Aubameyang and Lacazette, but there’s certainly still room for excitement given his talent.
