Arsenal Football Club are exploring the possibility of making a bid for Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos, according to AS.
The Gunners have been alerted by the defender’s contractual situation, with the Spain international recently rejecting a two-year extension.
AS has learned that Arsenal have been in contact with Ramos’ brother and agent Rene Ramos as they want to see whether the centre-back would be interested in a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements and no doubt that the Spain hotshot would be a brilliant signing for the North London side.
Sergio Ramos, 28, appears to be considering his options having spent last nine and a half years at Santiago Bernabeu, although he is unlikely to be moving clubs before next summer.
In-form Real Madrid hope to become the first ever team to defend a European Champions Cup title and they are 5/2 to succeed in their quest.
