Arsenal interested in Brenner

Arsenal are interested in signing Sao Paulo forward Brenner, according to Calciomercato.it. Juventus, AC Milan and Lazio are also among the clubs who are keen on the 20-year-old forward. The youngster has scored 15 goals and provided three assists in 25 matches in all competitions for Sao Paulo in 2020, leading to interest from the aforementioned clubs, according to the report.

The report has added that Arsenal, Juventus, Milan, Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain are looking at Brenner as a potential target for the summer of 2021 rather than for January 2021. It has been claimed that the youngster has a release clause of €50 million for clubs outside Brazil, but Sao Paulo could sell him for less than than fee.

Arsenal are well stocked in the forward department, and spend €50 million on a Brazil-based 20-year-old may not be at the top of their priority next summer. Eddie Nketiah is progressing well and could develop into a quality striker in the coming years.
