It looks like Arsenal are going to be very ambitious this coming summer transfer window. Mikel Arteta’s side has had a truly turbulent season, with more downs than ups and this summer could be an important one from the perspective of a club that needs to see what are they going to do about their poor decision making and dysfunctional squad. One option that they might have could say they are really ready to go for it.
According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are considering a summer transfer bid for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey. The Ghana international has been of the instrumental players in Diego Simeone’s squad and one of the most important pieces in their success of reaching the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.
And whilst the Telegraph are reporting that Arsenal might try to activate the player’s 45 million pound release clause, it is actually hard seeing why Partey would opt to make such a move, considering the team he is playing in and the role he has in it.
