Arsenal interested in Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans

Arsenal are interested in signing Youri Tielemans from Leicester City in the January transfer window, according to Goal. It has been reported that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is looking into the possibility of bolstering his midfield due to Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny going away to the Africa Cup of Nations.

And, according to Goal, Tielemans is one of the players Arsenal are looking into signing in the middle of the season to enhance their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League. The Gunners have reportedly held talks with the agent of the Belgium international midfielder over a possible move in the January transfer window.

However, Leicester are not willing to sell Tielemans in the January transfer window despite the midfielder being unlikely to sign an extension to his current contract that runs out in 18 months’ time. The Belgian midfielder has made 13 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Foxes so far this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process.
