Arsenal are possibly interested in signing Raul Jimenez from Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to The Guardian.
Apparently, the Gunners are contemplating the Mexican striker as a potential replacement for Alexandre Lacazette, in case the Frenchman leaves the club at the end of the season.
Jimenez has been on fine form for the Wolves this season, establishing himself as an important part of the machinery under the command of manager Nuno Espirito Santo and a fan-favorite at the Molineux. He has so far netted 22 goals and laid on 10 assists in 42 games in all competitions. His performances have prompted links with Manchester United ahead of the winter transfer window, but in the end the 20-time English champions opted to bring in Odion Ighalo on loan.
It would certainly make sense for Arsenal to go for the 28-year-old, but it remains to be seen if the player himself would be interested in such a move, given that at the moment his chances of reaching the Champions League are far greater with Wolves than with Arsenal.
