Arsenal are interested in signing Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, according to La Colina de Nervion. It has been reported that the Gunners want to sign the 24-year-old Morocco international in order to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is out of contract at the North London club in two years’ time.
The report has added that Arsenal want to bring in the striker as soon as possible. This suggests that the Gunners could make a move for En-Nesyri in the January transfer window. However, Sevilla will not sell the24-year-old in the middle of the season. After all, the Spanish club will be aiming to finish in the top four of the La Liga table and will also play in the Champions League.
En-Nesyri made 23 starts and 15 substitute appearances in La Liga last season, scoring 18 goals in the process. The striker also scored six goals in eight Champions League appearances. En-Nesyri has scored two goals and given one assist in three league games so far this campaign.
