According to a recent report from the Daily Mirror, Arsenal could soon look into the possibility of signing Kieran Tierney. The belief is that the Gunners will look to replace Nacho Monreal in the summer transfer window, pending his heavily rumoured move to Spanish giants Barcelona. Monreal’s contract is set to come to an end in the next few months, which is why the rumour mill has started throwing up some possible alternatives for Unai Emery’s men. We’ve already heard about the links to Nicolas Tagliafico, although it seems like there could be a series of clubs interested in acquiring his services.
Tierney, on the other hand, would be quite a niche selection. The 21 year old is currently one of the regular first team stars for Scottish giants Celtic, and has been for a few years now.
He’s young and he’s hungry, but many fans question whether or not he’s ready for such a jump up in competition.
