Premier League giants Arsenal have joined the race for Boca Juniors midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, ESPN has suggested.
The youngster has already caught the eye of several top clubs, with Real Madrid reportedly having had a €10 million proposal for his services rejected.
ESPN claims that Arsenal are keen as well, as the Gunners sent scouts to Argentina to watch the talented midfielder in action.
Portuguese giants Benfica are also believed to be showing interest, but it has to be noted that Juventus have the option of first refusal, secured as part of the transfer that saw Carlos Tevez return to La Bombonera.
Rodrigo Bentancur already has 26 league appearances to his name and he seems to have nailed down a regular starting berth at Boca Juniors.
It is clear that La Xeneize will not be able to keep hold of their prized asset for much longer, so it is just a matter of time before he leaves for greener pastures.
