The queue for Ajax hotshot defender Matthijs de Ligt is getting more crowded every day.
The highly-rated 19-year-old has been heavily linked with Barcelona who have identified him as a long-term replacement for Gerard Pique.
The Catalans are confident of securing a deal knowing they already grabbed his Ajax teammate Frenkie de Jong but they will face a huge challenge knowing that several other sides have also expressed interest in his services.
The likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester City are believed to be in the running for the talented defender but the latest reports coming from England claim Arsenal have also joined the chase.
The Gunners might be the underdogs in Matthijs de Ligt pursuit but they hope to sell Mesut Ozil would allow them to generate necessary funds in order to make the deal possible.
Ajax are said to be demanding around £70 million for their prized asset.
