European heavyweights Arsenal and Juventus are both said to be in the running for the signature of Willem II forward Donis Avidjaj.
In a somewhat surprising transfer rumour first broken by the media sources in the Netherlands, the 22-year-old Kosovo striker has been on the radar of several Europe’s high-profile clubs.
His flying form in the Eredivisie this season seems to have intensified the interest with Arsenal and Juventus leading the line in front the likes of Ajax and PSV Eindhoven.
Avdijaj scored four goals and registered three assists in 15 league games this term, whereas he also scored further 4 goals in the Dutch Cup competition KNVB Beker.
The Kosovo international only joined Willem II from Schalke on a year-long loan deal with the option of a second one.
The interest from two of Europe’s biggest clubs such as Arsenal and Juventus is bound to complicate his contract situation as Willem II will face a tough battle to keep hold of the highly sought-after forward.
