Arsenal keen of Ipswich youngster

TalkSport understands that Arsenal will make a move for highly-rated Ipswich Town full-back Tyrone Mings when the transfer window reopens in January.

The 21 year old has impressed for Mick McCarthy’s men so far this season, playing in all eleven of their league games – helping them to sixth place in the division ahead of the international break.

He was recently awarded the Championship Player of the Month award for September, and now looks set to follow in the footsteps of former teammate Aaron Cresswell, who swapped Portman Road for the Premier League during the summer.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to add defensive cover to a squad currently blighted by injury as he looks to guarantee Champions League football for and eighteenth successive season.

The Gunners lost for the first time in league last weekend, falling to a 2-0 defeat to leaders Chelsea, but remain odds on at 2/5 to finish in the top four.
