Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly readying a bid for Barcelona’s forgotten man Rafinha as the North London club looks to bolster their squad in preparation for the departure of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.
The midfielder has been sidelined since April due to injury, though even when fully fit the Brazilian has struggled for consistent game time in what is an incredibly talented Barcelona side. Rafinha has played 78 games in total for the Catalan club over six seasons, scoring 11 times.
Arsenal will likely be without both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez by the end of this season as the two talented players look for moves away from North London, and the club are frantically searching for potential replacements to acquire in January.
Rafinha is a versatile midfielder, capable of both breaking up play and acting as an effective playmaker, and the Brazilian would serve as a useful replacement for Ozil in the heart of the Arsenal midfield.
