Arsenal are accelerating their efforts in securing the future of Bukayo Saka, according to The Athletic.
The 18-year-old is contracted to the club until the summer of 2021 and earns ‘only’ £3,000 per week, which simply doesn’t reflect the value he has given on the pitch since being introduced into the first team last year. He produced a great performance in Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday, and his enormous potential seems to have become obvious to other clubs. Apparently, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayer Munich are all keen on taking the youngster for themselves.
In order to prevent something like that from happening, Arsenal have made getting him to sign a new contract a priority. Though a positive outcome is by means a certainty at this point, the talks are being held with some frequency and are progressing well enough for the club to feel confident the player, a winger by default but recently deployed at left-back, will out his name on the dotted line.
