Arsenal keen on shock move for Man City forward

A report from the Metro suggests that Edin Dzeko has become a shock target for Arsenal in the final days of this transfer window.

The future of the Manchester City forward has been in doubt for most of the summer but the Gunners could make a move for him at the last moment.

It is thought that should this deal go through then the English Premier League champions may be able to lure Theo Walcott to the Ethiad Stadium.

Walcott has been offered contract at the Emirates Stadium but it appears to have stalled, sparking concerns about where he may be playing football come the end of this month.

Dzeko has found himself move down the pecking order at City and may now need to move on to play more first-team football.

Arsene Wenger is said to be an admirer of the Bosnian international after trying to secure his services a number of years ago.

Now, Wenger wants to boost his attacking options having lost Robin Van Persie this summer and seeing his side fail to score in their opening two matches.

Should Dzeko make the move to the Emirates Stadium, it will be one of the biggest stories in this fascinating transfer window.

We shall see.

True, we don’t need Dzeko, but he is one of the most talents big strikers as far as his footwork is concerned. No, we don’t need him, but he could be a good replacement for Giroud, who by the way, I don’t even know why we bought in the first place. I guess it was just because we needed another striker, but there are better ones out there, including our own Chamakh. We should not sell Walcott, that is a mistake. Definitely need a defensive midfielder. Wenger has had so many transfer windows to get us a decent defence and he still has not done it completely. Personally I blame him for people leaving because think about the past few transfer windows that he could have bought a few stars or shaped up the defence and we probably could have won the title. I mean we almost beat Barca in the CL when we had RVP, Nasri, and Fabregas, all we needed was a decent defence. Wenger, Dzeko is fine, but please stop buying strikers after that, and get some defence for us.

Prof. Arsen Wenger is absolutely right; we need a good striker in the mould of Dzeko to beef up our strike force. The young lad has been in the premier league for a while now and is not new to the terrain like our new imports. He will be of tremendous influence to the team. Edin is a versatile attacker with both league and international exposure and quality. Yes, we need a defensive midfielder to complete the assemblage; which makes me call for the importation or purchase of Yann MVilla, the strong Frenchman. True, we can dispence of the service of Theo Walcott; he is more of a surplus, now, in the new wingless plan of the team.

not really. City’s got a million superstars. Dzeko won’t be a total loss given there are so many people there to replace him.

i think leaving walcott and bringing dzeko to join him in arsenal wont be of any problem to arsene wenger, why would he want to swoop walcott who is a key figure in arsenal for dzeko.?

We actually don’t need DZEKO: defensive midfielder is all we need at this critical moment. And I don’t think wenger is making any effort in doing that and without a defensive midfielder we can’t go anywhere; in fact why can’t wenger bring back DENILSON from brazil to end this crisis.
