It is no secret to the rest of the footballing world that Arsenal are in the market for a winger as they prepare for the imminent departure of superstar Chilean Alexis Sanchez, and the latest name on Arsene Wenger’s shopping list is none other than Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha, according to ESPN.
With Arsenal currently sitting in sixth place in the Premier League table it is vital that the Gunners minimise the impact of losing Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, and turning to a winger from the side the currently occupies the bottom spot in the table seems to be Wenger’s plan.
To his credit the Ivory Coast international has bagged two goals in just five appearances in the league, and he finished the last Premier League campaign with seven goals and nine assists. These aren’t the most inspiring numbers, but in truth neither are the players that Zaha has around him, and a move to Arsenal could well amplify his talent.
